IV. As a rule, the accusative neuter of any adjective noun may do duty for an adverb, śīghraṃ gacchati (he goes swiftly), mṛdu bhāṣate (he speaks gently), channaṃ viharati (he amuses himself secretly), sabahumānaṃ satkaroti (he entertains respectfully).

The acc. of the subst. nāma (name) is used as a particle = »namely,” sometimes also it answers to Greek ὄνομα »of name.” Nala l, l āsīd rājā nalo nāma.

IV. 一般に、形容詞のn.acc.は副詞の役割を持ちうる。
śīghraṃ gacchati (he goes swiftly)
mṛdu bhāṣate (he speaks gently)
channaṃ viharati (he amuses himself secretly)
sabahumānaṃ satkaroti (he entertains respectfully)

実名詞のacc.のnāmaは分詞として用いられる（＝「すなわち…」）。ギリシャ語のὄνομα（「～の名前」）〔の用法〕に一致することもある。
