Numbers, given approximately, are expressed by such compounds as āsannaviṃśāḥ (nearly twenty), adṛratriṃśāḥ (not far from thirty), upadaśāḥ (almost ten), adhikacatvāriṃśāḥ (more than forty). {P. 2, 2, 25.}

»Two or three” is dvitrāṇi, »three or four” tricaturāṇi, »five or six” pañcaṣāḥ. Comp. Daç. 94 the compound adverb dvitricaturam »twice, three-, four times.”

おおよその数は、āsannaviṃśāḥ（ほとんど20）、adṛratriṃśāḥ（30より遠からざる）、upadaśāḥ（ほぼ10）、adhikacatvāriṃśāḥ（40以上）などの合成語で表される（P. 2, 2, 25.）。

「2か3」はdvitrāṇi、「3か4」はtricaturāṇi、「5か6」はpañcaṣāḥ。
